Worker murdered in Khukuri attack in Rupandehi

RUPANDEHI: A worker has been murdered in a khukuri at Shudhodhan rural municipality of Rupandehi district on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Abadhesh Chamar of Susta in Nawalparasi (West), working at a saw-mill located at ward no 3, said Spokesperson of Rupandehi Police, Satya Narayan Thapa.

The incident took place when Rabi Singh, an Indian national, working at the same saw-mill, attacked Abadesh with khukuri at 11:00 pm and Abadhesh died on the way to Lumbini provincial Hospital.

Similarly, Abadhesh’s father, Gopi Chand, was also injured in the same incident and he is receiving treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, shared police.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
