GORKHA: Nepali Congress leader Surendra Bhandari has been elected as a general convention representative from Gorkha district.
Bhandari has been elected from Gorkha Constituency-2 under Khas Arya category with 311 votes.
Bhandari is the secretary of the coordination department under the institute of financial and cooperatives of the Nepali Congress.
Similarly, Govinda Gurung has been elected as the President of Gorkha-2, unopposed. Sharad Devkota and Rup Bahadur Gurung have been elected as secretaries while Narayan Dhami and Ram Gurung have been elected as deputy secretaries.
