3 killed in winger-autorickshaw collision in Kailali

DHANGADHI: Three people have died and three others sustained injuries after a winger and an auto rickshaw collided head-on against each other in Kailali district.

According to District Police Office (DPO), Kailali, the accident took place when a winger, Ma 1 Ja 311, heading to east collided head-on with an auto rickshaw on Friday evening, Se 1 Ha 2510, coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as Yubaraj Chaudhari, 24, Bhigam Chaudhari, 26, and Jitendra Chaudhari, 19, of Ghodaghodi municipality-9, informed SP Bamdev Gautam, the chief of Sudurpashchim Province Traffic Police Office.

The trio, who sustained critical injuries in the accident, died in the course of treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, said SP Gautam.

According to him, Dipendra Chaudhari, 23, Surendra Chaudhari, 22, Hari Chaudhari, 29, of Ghodaghodi municipality-9, and Dhane Rawal, 25, of Devkot municipality-10, have sustained injuries.

Among those injured, Surendra Chaudhari is the auto driver while Rawal is the driver of the winger. The winger driver is at large. Police said they are searching him.
