Flood sweeps away Surma road section

BAJHANG: Flood in Bahuli rivulet on Tuesday night has obstructed the Surma road section linking Chainpur to Surma rural municipality of Bajhang.

According to  Kamal Chaudhary, the information officer at District Police Office, Bajhang, the flood induced by continuous rainfall  swept away the road.

A police team has headed towards the incident site and details of the losses are awaited. Chaudhary urged the district folks to stay alert as dozens of villages are at a high risk of landslide and flood.

Similarly, a powerhouse of Sendogadi Power Pvt Ltd located at Surma-2 is also at disaster risk.
