Nepal sees 6,653 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley sees 1,384 new cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 6,653 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,624 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 2,029 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

Likewise, a total of 1,384 new cases were detected in Kathmandu Valley, with Kathamndu accounting for 897 cases, Lalitpur 299 and Bhaktapur 188.

Meanwhile, 8,663 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery as of Friday afternoon.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 101 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 7,731.
