Govt to sell Bonn-based Nepali mission’s real estate

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to sell the land and building of the old Nepali Embassy in Bonn of Germany.

Making public the cabinet decisions taken on several dates on Friday, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung said the cabinet took a decision to dispose of the unused property in Bonn.

After the unification of the two Germany 31 years ago, the capital of unified Germany was shifted to Berlin and Nepal’s Embassy also moved to Berlin after which the property in Bonn remained useless.

The government had initiated the process to sell the property in January 2020.
