Five JSP leaders including Mahato likely to take oath as ministers today

KATHMANDU: Five leaders of the Thakur-Mahato faction of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) are making preparations to take the oath of office and secrecy as ministers today.

According to a JSP leader, five JSP leaders will take the oath of office and secrecy under the leadership of senior leader Rajendra Mahato today.

According to sources, Mahato will take the oath of office and secrecy as the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies while Sharat Singh Bhandari will be sworn in as the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

Similarly, leader Anil Kumar Jha will take the oath of office and secrecy as the Minister for Urban Development, Vimal Srivastava Minister for Water Supply and Uma Shankar Argariya as the Minister for Youth and Sports.

Srivastava and Argariya have recently joined the Thakur-Mahato faction from the Yadav-Bhattarai group.

All the five leaders will take an oath of office and secrecy today, according to JSP Central Council Chairman Mahantha Thakur.
