JSP likely to join government today

KATHMANDU: If everything goes according to the plan, the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) will join the government today or tomorrow.

Preparations have been made to include the JSP’s Mahanta Thakur faction in the government.

With the JSP joining the government, Prime Minister KP Oli will expand and reshuffle the cabinet.

Sources said that PM Oli is giving eight portfolios and two state ministers to the Mahanta Thakur-led JSP.

The ministers will be sworn in the same day.

Earlier on Thursday, JSP Chairman Thakur held talks with Prime Minister Oli till late Thursday night.
