Diplomatic missions in Kathmandu issue travel advisory



KATHMANDU: Diplomatic missions in Kathmandu have issued travel advisory to their citizens Tuesday following the growing epidemic of Covid-19 in Nepal and prohibitory orders in place to control the health crisis.

Ambassadors have taken to video and in writing to issue advisory to inform their citizens regarding Nepal’s ban on international flights, prohibitory orders and surging cases of infections of late.

The embassies of India, China, the USA, France, Australia, Russia and South Korea in Kathmandu, among others, have issued a travel advisory.

Nepali missions abroad have also issued a travel advisory for Nepalis living there.

Nepal has decided to suspend domestic flights from Monday midnight and international flights from Thursday midnight. However, there will be two flights in a week to India under the air-bubble facility.

The government has decided to continue rescue operation flights.
