Baitadi jeep mishap kills four, six injured



KAILALI:  Four passengers were killed and six others injured in a jeep accident in Baitadi district on Tuesday.

According to District Police Office, Baitadi,  a bolero jeep, Se 1 Ja 123, which was bringing a dead body of a lightning victim of Monday evening for postmortem met with an accident at Pancheswor-6 Rodidewal on Tuesday.

The police informed that Jit Singh Bhandari, 50, Dambar Singh Bhandari, Himmat Bhandari and Deepak Bhandari of Pancheshwor Gaonpalika Ward No. 6 died on the spot.

Six others injured in the accident have been rushed to district hospital for treatment.

Govind Singh Bhandari, a member of Pancheshwor-6, was struck dead  by lightning in Baitadi on Monday.

According to the police the jeep had fallen around 500 meter down the road.
