KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has notified the Lumbini Province Assembly (PA) about its action taken against two provincial lawmakers who have defected to the CPN-UML.

Lumbini PA members Dhadhi Ram Neupane (Rupandehi) and Dinesh Panthi (Gulmi) of the Maoist Center were inducted to the UML Central Committee (CC) by Prime Minister KP Oli.

Secretary Durlab Kumar Pun of Lumbini PA acknowledged receiving a letter from the Maoist Center under Province Assembly regulation (190) regarding action taken against the two defecting lawmakers. According to him, provincial speaker will now inform the PA regarding the action under regulation (191) and, soon after their membership to the PA will be revoked.
