According to the Nepali Embassy in Bahrain, the members of the expedition team met Nepali Ambassador to Baharain Padam Sundas on Thursday and briefed him about the expedition.

The team is serving in the Bahrain Defense Force, according to the Nepali Embassy in Bahrain.

The team will arrive in Nepal by a special plane, according to a statement issued by the embassy today.

The Nepal-based Seven Summit Trek Company is making necessary arrangements for them to climb Mt. Everest.

It is projected that around 300 foreign climbers will be able to climb Mt. Everest in the coming spring. However, no one has obtained the permission so far, said Mira Acharya, Director of the Department of Tourism.

She said that it would be meaningful for the members of the royal family to come to Nepal for an expedition as it would send a positive message that Nepal is a safe mountaineering destination.

Acharya said that eight icefall doctors have already headed toward the Everest base camp.

The Department has entrusted the Everest Pollution Control Committee to pave the way to the first camp through the Khumbu icefall above the Everest base camp.
