NC leader Thapa says Oli’s continuity as PM is unacceptable

SARLAHI: Main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that continuity of Prime Minister KP Oli’s government cannot be acceptable at any cost.

Addressing a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union’s Sarlahi Chapter on Thursday, Thapa said that if other parties do not come ahead to dethrone PM Oli, NC should table a no-confidence motion against him.

“Rather than thinking about whether to join the government or not, NC should focus on ousting the Oli government,” he told reporters, adding, “If other parties do not dare to oust the government, NC should come with a no-confidence motion against the PM.”

Citing that a Prime Minister without roadmap cannot function well, he stressed the need to make it essential for the Prime Minister to come up with its roadmap for development prior to getting elected for the post.
