NCP Prachanda-Nepal faction leaders reach EC



KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction reached the Election Commission (EC) on Thursday.

Leaders Rajendra Pandey and Lilamani Pokhrel reached the EC to inform them about the decision of the party’s recently held central committee and standing committee meetings.

The Prachanda-Nepal faction had on Wednesday removed KP Oli from the post of the parliamentary party leader, and suspended eight other leaders, including party deputy parliamentary party leader Subash Nemwang.

They reached the EC to ask them to accelerate the process of giving authenticity of the NCP.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the Prachanda-Nepal faction Dev Gurung and Pampha Bhusal went to the Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar on Thursday to meet Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

They went to meet the Speaker Sapkota to inform the decision of the meeting of the parliamentary party held by the faction.
