NC senior leader Poudel says getting PM’s post is not easy

CHITWAN: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said that getting the Prime Minister’s post is not as easy as claimed by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Speaking to reporters in Chitwan on Thursday morning, Poudel questioned the motive behind NC joining the government.

“The issue of whether or not the party should join the government has to be discussed in the party,” Poudel said.

NC President Deuba had on Wednesday said that he would not not shy away from becoming the Prime Minister if the situation demanded so.

Poudel, meanwhile, said that NC will not support Prime Minister KP Oli adding that his party can support other parties to form a new government.
