NC holding office-bearers’ meeting today

KATHMANDU: Main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its office-bearers meeting on Thursday.

The meeting to be held at 3 pm at the NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha will make preparations for the house session scheduled for March 7, informed NC’s Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.

Former office-bearers are also expected to take part in the meeting, according to Paudel.

On last December 20, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR) on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Oli.

The Supreme Court on February 23 had reinstated the HoR arguing that the dissolution was unconstitutional and directed the government to resume the house session within 13 days of the reinstatement.

The reinstated HoR  is taking place on Sunday afternoon (March 7).
