PM Oli to lay foundation stone for Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Project today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli is visiting Sindhuli district on Thursday.

According to Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa, Prime Minister Oli will leave for Sindhuli at 10 am to lay a foundation stone for the construction of national pride project Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Project today.

This national pride project is aimed at generating 28-megawatt electricity and providing irrigation facilities to the people in the central Terai.

Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi will be accompanying Prime Minister Oli.

The government had announced the Sunkoshi Marin Diversion Project as the national pride project in the fiscal budget of 2019/2020.

Rs 2.5 billion had been allocated for the project.
