We should not seek alternative to election: Minister Rayamajhi

PARBAT: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has asserted that we should not seek alternatives to the mid-term polls announced on April 30 and May 10.

The Minister argued that a fresh mandate was inevitable to fulfill the responsibilities relating to stability and prosperity in the country.

He said so in the inaugural of the 220-132 KV Kushma sub-station and the 220 KV Kushma-Dana transmission line as well as the 220-132-33 KV Dana sub-station in Kushma of Parbat district today.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had virtually inaugurated these sub-stations amid a program that saw the physical presence of Minister Rayamajhi.

Rayamajhi, also a Standing Committee member of the Nepal Communist Party, shared that action-plans were put in place to produce as much as 42,000 megawatts of electricity in the next 20 years in the country.

On the occasion, Minister for Industries, Tourism, Forest, and Environment Bikash Lamsal claimed that the completion of the sub-stations had brought cheer to the public residing in the Dhaulagiri area.

Present on the occasion were former parliamentarian Padam Giri, former Constituent Assembly member Kalpana Chaulagain among others who univocally stated that the PM had considered dissolving the House of Representatives on December 20, 2020, as, they claimed, some forces were making troubles for the PM to deliver.
