Newly-promoted 31 police officers conferred with insignias



KATHMANDU: A total of 31 police officers who have been promoted to various posts as per the Home Secretary-level decision have been conferred with insignias.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shailesh Thapa Chhetri conferred them with insignias during a function held at the Police Headquarters on Thursday.

Among those conferred them with insignias are 15 police officers from Deputy Superintendent of Police to the post of Superintendent of Police, one from Technical Police Deputy Superintendent to the post of Technical Superintendent of Police and 15 from Technical Police Inspector to the post of Technical Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Likewise, one Deputy Superintendent of Police promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police is currently working in the FPU Mission in Darfur, Sudan.

On the occasion, IGP Chhetri congratulated the promoted police officers and instructed them to perform their duties with more vigilance.

He stressed the need to be sensitive towards the election announced by the government and focus on strengthening security.

Discussing that the police should work in good faith in collaboration with the citizens, IGP Chhetri said that the police should always be sensitive in their conduct and behavior.

He stressed the need for all the police personnel to move forward in a united manner in line with the policy and system adopted by the organization.
