KATHMANDU: Three top leaders including Prime Minister KP Oli are scheduled to address a mass assembly of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli faction on Friday.

The mass assembly will be addressed by Prime Minister Oli, Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel, and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa.

The group is holding a rally in front of the Narayanhiti Palace under the slogan ‘End of Anarchy, Geographical Integrity, Fresh Mandate for Political Stability through Development and Prosperity while Protecting the Constitution’.

Chairman of the NCP Bagmati Pradesh Organizing Committee Ananda Prasad Pokharel said that party leaders, cadres, and supporters from 13 districts of Bagmati Province and across the country would come to the assembly.

A 1,111-member mass assembly mobilization committee has been formed under the coordination of party Kathmandu Valley Coordinator Krishna Gopal Shrestha to hold the mass assembly.

It is said that rallies will be taken out from 13 places in Kathmandu Valley before the assembly to be held from 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the faction action organized a march pass in the Capital on Thursday ahead of the mass assembly of the faction slated for tomorrow.

The march pass was held on the day another faction of the NCP has enforced a general strike.

A volunteer mobilization committee led by Mahesh Basnet started the march from Balmiki College and ended at Kamaladi after going through Exhibition Road and Putalisadak.
