NEPSE index up by 8.34 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 8.34 points on the last trading day of the week on Thursday.

The NEPSE index closed at 2475.27 points.

A total of 187.19 million shares of 201 companies have been bought and sold, resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.61 billion.

The hydropower sub-index increased by 36.88 points, manufacturing by 84 points, microfinance by 146 points, non-life insurance by 78.74 points, others by 1.76 points, and trade sub-index by 131.66 points.

The banking sub-index declined by 7.43 points, development bank by 6.30 points, finance by 10.97 points, hotel by 20.65 points, life insurance by 68.30 points, and collective investment by 0.01 points.
