ANFA allows five substitutes for ‘B’ Division League

KATHMANDU: A total of five substitutes will be allowed during a match of Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League which is scheduled to begin on February 23.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) said that the league will now have five substitutes, up from three, when it resumes. The tie-sheet for matches 33 to 66 will be continued from the earlier tie-sheet.

The decision to that end was taken between ANFA and ‘B’ Division clubs on Monday.

Executive Committee member Ramesh Rayamajhi and Competition Director Sanjeeb Mishra discussed with clubs over the regulation for the halted league.

Following the discussion, the meeting agreed to allow five more players for registration taking the total registered players from 35 to 40.

Similarly, two officials, both health professionals, will also be allowed for registration by clubs.

A meeting with club officials on December 23 had agreed to resume the league, halted since March 18, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, from February 23.
