Judiciary will be recognized: Chair Dahal

CHITWAN: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has lauded the judiciary for being positive on the restoration of the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR).

Judiciary’s role to reinstate the HoR would be recognized well, he said while talking to media persons here Friday. “You all know that judiciary has done well with House restoration. We will also help judiciary when it is in difficulty.”

A ruling coalition meeting suggested that it would be good for the Chief Justice to assign acting chief justice after staying on leave when he was admitted to hospital, said the former Prime Minister. According to him, now, the CJ has been discharged from the hospital and again the ruling coalition would call a meeting and take a decision accordingly.

In a different context, Chairperson Dahal viewed the parliament meeting called by the incumbent on December 14 would continue its regular business. On the opposition CPN (UML) obstructing the parliament session, he said, “They have continued parliament obstructions. But, parliament did its regular business- presented and passed the budget amid the obstructions. It will continue this way. Entire people have come to the fact that UML’s intentions are not good.”

On a different note, he ruled out the possibility of early elections.
