All responsible to make NC winner in the upcoming election: President Deuba



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba asserted that it was everyone’s responsibility to make NC stronger after the 14th national convention and elect it in the three-tier elections.

Virtually inaugurating the first province convention of Province No 1 Friday, leader Deuba reminisced that the federal democratic republic system was introduced in Nepal through the NC’s leadership. He claimed that NC had also led many major movements and laid the basis for prosperity.

Stating that today’s event was the first historic convention of the Province No 1 since the promulgation of the constitution, PM Deuba said, “We are going for local level election in few months and provincial and federal elections will be held within a year. All our attention will be laid in the upcoming election immediately after the party’s 14th national convention.” He expressed his confidence that all the party cadres and leaders would be united and be focused on the election with victory on target.

Deuba also extended condolences to all the freedom fighters, dead or alive, and spoke of the need to recall the contributions and sacrifices of the senior leaders, including people’s leader BP Koirala. Stating that development and prosperity if democratic system was strong enough, PM Deuba claimed that the series of incidents in the past had proved that NC would only led the country to development and prosperity.

“I am confident that you will deliberate to devise a strategy enabling the NC to win the hearts of the public,” he said to the representatives in the provincial convention. On the occasion, the Prime Minister also wished for the complete success of the NC’s first Province No 1 convention and extended best wishes to all the participants.
