KATHMANDU: Parliamentary hearing of proposed ambassadors of India, United Kingdom and United States that was scheduled for Friday has been postponed yet again.

The hearing to be conducted by Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has been deferred until December 6, citing the busy schedule of lawmakers of the Nepali Congress (NC) that is holding its 14th General Convention.

Earlier, the hearing set for November 21 also could not take place as required quorum was not met.

The government on October 28 recommended Dr Shanker Sharma as ambassador of Nepal to India, Dr Sridhar Khatri as ambassador of Nepal to the USA and Gyan Chandra Acharya as Nepal’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.

The proposed ambassadors’ parliamentary hearing has been put off a couple of times since the cabinet recommendation due to various reasons.
