Maoist Center forms task force to amend party statute



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has formed a five-member task force to amend the party statute.

A meeting of the Standing Committee held on Friday morning formed a task force to amend the statute under the coordination of Dev Gurung.

According to UCPN-M spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the task force includes Pampha Bhusal, Lilamani Pokhrel, Janardan Sharma and Matrika Yadav.

The task force is scheduled to propose the draft legislation by December 11.

Similarly, a management sub-committee has been formed under the coordination-ship of Hitman Shakya and a publicity sub-committee under Krishna Bahadur Mahara for the management of the General Convention.

The meeting also gave the responsibility of preparing a proposal to Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” to increase the number of central representatives.
