‘Paper republic’ will not offer any solutions: UML secretary Gyawali

BHAKTAPUR: CPN (UML) secretary Pradeep Gyawali asserted that the ‘paper republic’, democracy, and constitution which the public could not feel cannot give any solutions.

At a program organized by CPN (UML)’s Changunarayan-8 ward committee at Sudal in Bhaktapur today, leader Gyawali reiterated that the ‘papers’ could not offer any solutions in the current situation.

He said, “People have already understood that the erstwhile government had attempted to give people a feel of change but it was not allowed to work. It was ambushed and overthrown.”

The former minister claimed that the previous KP Sharma Oli-led government had accomplished a wide range of works from development works to safeguarding nationality.

Referring to the increasing number of people entering CPN (UML) in recent days, he claimed that people had more confidence in the UML which is the major opposition party currently.

Present at the program were UML’s central member Som Prasad Mishra, Bagmati Province Committee member Nawaraj Gelal, ward committee chairperson Rajesh Khadka among others who univocally said that CPN (UML) will emerge to be the number one party in the upcoming election.
