NEPSE decreases by 55.93 points today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 55.93 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2577.49 points.

A total of 8.94 million shares of 232 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 4.11 billion.

The finance group’s index has decreased sharply. The indices of hotel and tourism, hydropower, and investment group have increased by more than 3 percent. The banking group’s index shrunk by 1.57 percent. The share price of Malung Khola Hydropower has increased sharply despite a sharp decline in the share market.

Shares of development banks, hydropower, hotels, and manufacturing groups have declined by higher numbers today.

Shares of Guheswari Merchant Bank and Finance and Rarang Hydro decreased by more than nine percent.

Shares of Malung Khola Hydropower Company have risen 10 percent despite the overall market decline.

The highest number of shares of AP Power Company worth Rs 150 million has been bought and sold.
