NC Regional Convention: Bohara and Budha elected

JUMLA: The Nepali Congress has completed the election of the regional working committee of Jumla and the regional representative of the province.

The regional convention was held on Saturday under the 14th general convention of the party.

In the election, Laxman Bohara has won the post of chair of province ‘A’ with 249 votes out of the total 498 votes cast.

His nearest rival Narayan (Bishnu) Shahi polled 231 votes. Similarly, Rup Bahadur Rokaya and Tilak Prasad Neupane got 279 and 250 votes respectively.

Likewise, Kali Bahadur Budha has won the election for the post of chair in province ‘B’. He got 242 out of 490 votes cast, said Assistant Polling Officer Khageshwor Acharya.

According to him, the two vice-presidents Dan Singh Khatri and Kali Bahadur Budha won with 266 and 254 votes respectively.
