Nepal records 1,756 new COVID-19 cases, 23 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,756 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,357 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 399 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 467 persons in Kathmandu, 129 in Lalitpur, and 71 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 793 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 23 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2,274 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
