Nepali Army Major General Shrestha calls on Indian Army Chief Naravane

KATHMANDU: Nepal Army Major General Niranjan Kumar Shrestha on Thursday called on Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane and discussed issues of mutual interest.

“Major General Niranjan Kumar Shrestha, Director General of Military Training & Doctrine, Nepali Army, called on General MM Naravane #COAS and discussed issues of mutual interest,” tweeted Additional Directorate General of Public Information, Indian Army.

The two generals had a courtesy meeting at the Indian Army headquarters in New Delhi Thursday. During the meeting, Indian Army Chief Narwane requested to convey his congratulatory message to the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff General Prabhuram Sharma.

Shrestha is on a visit to India at the invitation of the Director General of the Directorate General of Military Training of the Indian Army.

Shrestha also visited various training centers of the Indian Army and held discussions with top officials there. He visited the Indian Army’s military training centers at Mau, Pune, Dehradun and Simla in Indore, India.

He also met dozens of Nepal Army officers undergoing training in India.
