BUTWAL: The opposition coalition in Lumbini has filed a no-confidence motion against Province Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel on Tuesday.

According to Nepali Congress (NC) Chief Whip in the province, Fakhruddin Khan, the opposition alliance has filed a no-confidence motion in the Province Assembly Secretariat.

The opposition alliance comprising NC, CPN-Maoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha has been claiming that CM Pokhrel does not have majority to hold the government any more.
