Newly elected HCC-N Dean Golchha assumes office



KATHMANDU: Newly elected Consul General for Poland and Dean of Honorary Consular Corps-Nepal (HCC-N) Lokmanya Golchha has assumed office on Monday.

Outgoing Dean and unpaid Consul General for Morocco Bansanta Chaudhary handed over the responsibility to newly elected Golchha amidst a ceremony yesterday.

There are as many as 53 unpaid consuls and consul generals are associated with HCC-N representing various countries.

Earlier, the consuls from various countries had handed over medical supplies to the Nepal government to fight COVID-19 pandemic.

Golchha, who is also the president of Golchha Organization, has been appointed as the Dean of the HCC-N for one year.

Gajendra Shrestha had been appointed as the first Dean of HCC-N and the Consul General for Sweden on the basis of seniority.
