NC office-bearers’ meeting postponed

KATHMANDU: The officer-bearers’ meeting of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) scheduled for Monday has been postponed.

The meeting has been postponed due to some health problems of senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, said party’s Deputy General Secretary Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat.

Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba had called the office-bearers’ meeting at his residence in Budhanilkantha at 2 pm to discuss the current political developments and chart out the party’s future strategy.

The meeting was called after Prime Minister KP Oli, who is also CPN-UML Chairman, said he would be taking a vote of confidence from the parliament.

The NC party has decided to form a government under its leadership.
