IPL 2021: Rajasthan defeats Hyderabad by 55 runs



KATHMANDU: Rajasthan Royals has defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 55 runs in a cricket tournament in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

Held in New Delhi on Sunday, Hyderabad was restricted to 165 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs while chasing the 221-run target set by Rajasthan.

Hyderabad’s Manish Pandey made highest 31 runs followed Jonny Bairstow with 30 runs while Kane Williams contributed 20 runs.

Rajasthan’s Chris Morris and Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets each of Hyderabad. Earlier, Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Rajasthan had notched up 220 runs at the cost of three wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Rajasthan’s Jos Buttler top-scored with 124 runs studded with 11 fours and eight sixes off 64 balls. Similarly, Sanju Samon hit 48 runs while Riyan Parag made 15 runs.

With this win, Rajasthan has climbed the fifth position in the points table of the ongoing IPL with six points from seven matches. Hyderabad is at the bottom with two points.
