NC extends time for renewal of active membership

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress central committee meeting has decided to extend the renewal and distribution of active membership of the party until mid-April.

The earlier deadline was March 23.

The decision was taken as membership distribution and renewal were yet to be completed in some districts.

And it was based on the extension sought by the committee led by Ramesh Lekhak formed to investigate the issue of active membership, spokesperson Biswa Prakash Sharma said.

The NC central committee held at the party office on Friday night took this decision.

The meeting also took a decision to take the initiative to form a Nepali Congress-led government.
