NC leader Poudel says party should not deter from its role as opposition



KATHMANDU: Main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the party should not waver from the role of the opposition party in the parliament.

Speaking at a program organized in Chitwan on Wednesday, Poudel remarked that as people have high expectations from NC it should not deter from the role it is mandated by the people.

“NC should play its role as per the people’s mandate,” he said, “We are few in number but have a big responsibility to execute.”

He also warned that the failure to realize the role and responsibility can be counter-productive.

Poudel did not specify what the deemed role of opposition is in such hours meant.
