Prachanda, Nepal, Speaker Sapkota take first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

KATHMANDU: Members of the House of Representatives and members of the National Assembly have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The lawmakers reached the Civil Hospital on Wednesday morning to inoculate vaccine.

Former Prime Minister and Chairmen of Prachanda-Nepal faction Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, and Madhav Kumar Nepal, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, NCP leader Dev Prasad Gurung and others have administered COVID-19 vaccine.

The Chairperson of the National Assembly, the Vice-Chairperson, the Members of Parliament, the General Secretary and the Secretary will administer vaccine against coronavirus till 4 pm.

Employees working in the Secretariat of the Speaker, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, staff working in attendance management, dignitaries and parliamentary affairs journalists are also scheduled to be vaccinated today.
