BANIYANI: Police have arrested two persons in possession of brown sugar from Mechingar municipality-6 of Jhapa.
The arrested are Ganesh Chhetri, 23, of Angna-4, Panchthar and currently residing in Jhapa Damak-1 and Anup Tamang, 27, of Morang Urlabari-9, shared spokesperson of District Police Office Jhapa, Rakesh Thapa.
A police team deployed from Drugs Control Bureau Kakadbhitta arrested Chhetri with three grams and Tamang with one gram of brown sugar on Tuesday.
Thapa said further investigation into the case is underway after keeping drug peddlers into custody of Area Police Office.
