Government acting against constitutional norms: Dr Bhattarai



CHITWAN: Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party, Federal Council Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that elections cannot be held in the date announced by the government.

Speaking at a gathering of party workers here today, he said through the elections have been announced there was no possibility of it.

Accusing the government of working against the norms of the Constitution and raising questions over democracy, he said that the House of Representatives can be restored even at the force of the people.

“We will fight until we win. There is a risk of external intervention, with nationality at risk,” he said. He also shared that the party was preparing for a joint movement starting third week of February.

“We are working to establish the JSP as an alternative political force,” he said while referring to the unification process of the parties in the JSP.
