Two killed in separate road accidents



KATHMANDU:  A 32-year-old Sagar Mishra of Birtamod municipality-6, Buttabari has died after being hit by a passenger bus, Na 6 Kha 1520, in Birtamod municipality-1.

Critically injured Mishra, who was rushed to Birta City Hospital, breathed his last in the course of treatment. Meanwhile, police have taken the bus and its driver under control.

Similarly, a 23-year-old Dipendra Mahato died after the motorcycle, Ja 6 Pa 2833, he was riding pillion was hit by a Scorpio, Ba 13 Cha 8038, at Basipul in Mithila municipality-6.

Mahato died while being rushed to Janakpur Provincial Hospital for treatment while motorcycle driver Sunil Lama, 22, has sustained critical injuries. He is undergoing treatment at Janakpur Hospital, said District Police, Dhanusha.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the vehicle and the driver under control.
