NC Conventions in disputed districts postponed



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has postponed all programs in districts where conventions are yet to be held.

The party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) issued a press release on Thursday stating that all the programs of the district convention including the election of the district working committee of the remaining districts have been postponed.

According to a press release signed by the secretary of the committee Jagannath Shrestha, the postponed conventions of those districts will be held only after the general convention of the party.

“As the district conventions of the postponed districts will be held as per the schedule fixed by the Central Election Committee after the forthcoming 14th general convention, all concerned will be informed through this press release,” the statement said.

According to the Election Committee, district conventions of the Nepali Congress have been held in 62 districts of the country till Wednesday.
