NMB Bank wins ‘The Bank of the Year Asia 2021’ award

KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has been successful to become the best bank in the Asia. It has been awarded “The Bank of the Year Asia 2021″ by The Banker magazine, London.

NMB Bank has been adjudged the best bank in the Asia beating out stiff competition from Asian giants such as China, India, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan.

The bank won this award because of its focus on sustainable banking, commitment towards digital transformation and high corporate governance standards.

At a program organized at the official residence of the Prime Minister on Wednesday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba handed over the award jointly to NMB Chairperson Pawan Kumar Golyan, chief executive officer Sunil KC and member of Board of Directors.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba congratulated all associated with the bank for creating the history, adding that the bank has enhanced the prestige of the entire Nepali banking industry by being honored with the coveted award ‘The Ban of the Year Asia 2021.”

Meanwhile, at a program organized here on Wednesday, Chair Golyan said that the NMB Bank has been working keeping the country’s economic advancement in the center.
