Preparation to implement ‘earning while learning’ program: Minister Poudel



MYAGDI: Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Devendra Poudel, has said that the ministry has made preparation for the implementation of the ‘earning while learning’ program.

At a program organized at Beni today, Minister Poudel shared that the working procedure of the program brought through replacement ordinance to increase access of students of a poor community in higher education has reached the final phase.

“The ministry has given priority to earning while learning program, President Educational Reform program and reconstruction of earthquake-damaged school building”, he opined.

Saying the ministry has been doing the necessary homework to address the demands of temporary teachers, the Education Minister shared that a three-month action plan is going to be formulated prioritizing the activities to be carried out immediately.

Minister Poudel, who arrived here to inaugurate the fourth district conference of Press Centre, Myagdi, had participated in the program organized by District Education Development and Coordination Unit and United All Nepal Teachers’ Organisation.

On the occasion, Unit Chief Dal Bahadur Thapa briefed Minister Poudel about the situation of educational activities of the district, the reconstruction of a school building,s and the implementation situation of the President Educational Reform Program.

Similarly, at the inauguration of the 4th district conference of Press Centre, Minister Poudel opined that constructive criticism was necessary for the positive change of the communications sector.

“Journalism sector should be strong for overall development and good governance. The government is committed to press freedom and development of journalism.”
