NC Veep Nidhi concerned about delayed cabinet expansion

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice Preisdent Bimalendra Nidhi has expressed concern over the delayed expansion of the cabinet.

Addressing an event held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non-Violence Saturday, Nidhi said it was a matter of concern for the NC, the ruling coalition partners and the country that the government could not get full shape even after 81 days of its formation.

“Therefore, I would like to request to the NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and the leaders and office-bearers of all the parties in the coalition decide on giving full shape to cabinet at the earliest. It is too late already. We can’t wait any longer,” he said.

Nidhi remarked that the failure to expand the Council of Ministers had raised the question of whether the ruling coalition could last till the coming election.
