Group leaders present suggestions after discussion in UML Statute General Convention



KATHMANDU: The group leaders submitted suggestions on all the three reports to the leadership Saturday after concluding group discussion in the CPN-UML’s first Statute General Convention.

The deliberation on political and organizational reports as well as statute amendment proposal that started from this morning concluded in the afternoon. After that, team leaders provided their suggestions.

UML Party Office Secretary, Sher Bahadur Tamang, shared that discussion was held in 10 different groups on the three reports.

Group leaders expressed dissatisfaction with the party’s operational procedure. The delegates stressed on the need to establish the party and policy instead of prioritizing individuals in the party.

Party Chair KP Oli will respond on political report, General-Secretary Ishwor Pokharel on organizational report and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel on statute amendment proposal on Sunday.

A total of 6,347 delegates are participating in the convention that will run until Sunday.
