We will not win upcoming election without countering UML: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said they will not win the upcoming election without countering the CPN-UML.

At a program organized by the Maoists Center in Lalitpur Saturday, Prachanda urged the party cadres to portray the UML as anti-republican and anti-federalism for the next one and a half years.

“KP Oli is leading the UML and he is hell-bent on destroying the Maoists. The UML have said they will return to power after a year and a half,” he said. “We cannot win the election without countering these cunning liars. They are humiliating us. We should respond accordingly,” he added.

Prachanda urged cadres to say that the Maoists drafted the constitution. “Walk around openly and say UML are rivals, anti-constitution entity. Reach out among the public and make them understand who is dishonest.”

He clarified that he took to attack UML Chairman Oli after the latter began playing tricks on him. He also said he worked very hard to make NC Preisdent Sher Bahadur Deuba the Prime Minister.

Maoist Chairman Dahal reiterated that it was right to unite the party with the UML. However, he said that they revolted from within the party after they could not bear KP Oli’s trickeries and deception.
