UML Statute Gen Convention: Group-wise discussions on political reports today



KATHMANDU: The first Statute General Convention of the main opposition of the CPN-UML which started on Friday is continuing even today.

A group-wise discussion will be held on the political report, statute amendment proposal and organizational report today. The representatives have been divided into 10 groups for discussions on the political dossiers, according to Khim Lal Bhattarai, a UML central member and coordinator of sub-committee under the publicity department of the party.

A group leader will present the views of the group following the group-wise discussions on the three reports today, according to Bhattarai.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli submitted political dossier, General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel presented organizational report while the statute amendment proposal was presented by Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Paudel on Friday.

Leaders Subas Nembang and Bhim Acharya will facilitate the group-wise discussions on all three proposals for Province 1. Satya Narayan Mandal and Raghubir Mahaseth will facilitate discussions for Province 2, Asta Laxmi Shakya and Ram Bahadur Thapa for Bagmati and Prithvi Subba Gurung and Kiran Gurung will play their roles as a facilitator for Gandaki.

Similarly, Bishnu Paudel and Yam Lal Kandel will facilitate the group-wise discussion for Lumbini Pradesh, Yubaraj Gyawali and Lekhraj Bhatta will facilitate the discussions for Karnali and Bhim Rawal and Shankar Pokharel will facilitate group-wise discussions for Sudurpashchim Pradesh.

Likewise, Chhabilal Bishwokarma, Rajan Bhattarai will facilitate discussions for Valley Special Committee, Liaison Coordination Committee, Gokarna Bista and Top Bahadur Rayamajhi for people’s organizations and Amtrit Bohara and Pushpa Kandel will facilitate the discussions for central unit and the central department.

The group-wise discussions will continue until 2 pm, according to central member Bhattrai.
