BSP decides to take action against leaders carrying out parallel activities

KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party (BSP) has decided to take action against those who would continue to carry out parallel activities in the party.

The CC meet called by BSP Chaiman Rabindra Misha took place Thursday and formally warned dissenting CC members and leaders of action. Earlier, BSP Coordinator Milan Pandey called a separate meeting of the party by going against party Chairman Mishra.

BSP Central Committee member and Deputy Chief of policy department Sanjay Baral said some 103 CC members, of the total 130, took part in today’s meeting. He stressed that the party stood together and the CC decided to take action against those holding parallel activities.

Likewise, the meeting also warned of action against central members making indecent and insulting remarks against the party and the party leadership on social media.

Baral informed that the party also decided to convene another CC meeting within a week to ensure participation of dissenting members and leaders. The meeting also decided that Chairman Mishra would table a draft of CC meet working procedure at the next meeting.

Internal dispute has surfaced in the BSP after Chairman Mishra floated a proposal for holding referendum on issues of federalism and secularism.
