Former secretary Regmi passes away



KATHMANDU: Former Secretary of the Government of Nepal, Shreekanta Regmi, passed away this morning. He was 71.

Suffering from diabetes and kidney problems for the past few years, Regmi died in course of treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Regmi, who worked as Home Secretary for a long, is known as a capable administrator.

He is survived by a wife and two sons. According to the family source, his final rites would be performed once his sons return from abroad.
